NEW HAVEN, Conn.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team was selected to finish in ninth place in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. The Cougars earned 51 points with the voting for the poll being conducted by the league's 12 head coaches in the sport.
Post University took the top spot in the conference with 125 points and five first-place votes. Wilmington University slotted in at #2 with 121 points and four first place votes, while Georgian Court University and Holy Family University tying for third place with Holy Family garnering one first place vote.
Goldey-Beacom College was picked fifth with 87 points, while Dominican College and Thomas Jefferson University tying for six with one first-place vote each and 82 points. Nyack College came in at the eighth spot with 66 points, followed by the Cougars.
The Cougars kick off their 2021 season on the road at Le Moyne College on Friday, September 3. Caldwell plays their first home game against American International College on Wednesday, September 15 and open conference play against Chestnut Hill College at home on Sunday, September 26.

Andrew Fraser returns for his third season on the sidelines for the Cougars. Fraser guided the Cougars to the CACC Quarterfinals in the Spring 2021 season that was shortened and played in the spring semester due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Andre Vieira (Union, N.J.). The 2019 CACC Rookie of the Year, Vieira had productive second season on the pitch this past spring for the Cougars. He led the Cougars in points with 14 in seven games along with netting a team-high six goals.
