Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) scored six goals as the Cougars fell short to Georgian Court University 20-8 in a in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 3-7 overall and 3-4 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 10-2 and 6-0 in conference play.
The teams battled through a close first half as Kassaleh got the scoring started with a goal in the first minute of the game off an assist from senior
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.). Georgian Court answered with a pair of goals to pull ahead 2-1 at the 22:21 mark.
Kassaleh tied the game at 2-2 at the 19:21 mark off an assist from junior
Jenna Steelman (Mays Landing, N.J.) The Lions answered with a two goals to take a 4-2 late in the first half.
Caldwell battled back as Kassaleh dropped in a pair of goals to even the score. Kassaleh scored at the 5:09 mark off an assist from senior
Jules Wesler (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) and Kassaleh netted the game-tying goal on a free-position shot with 4:01 left in the half.
Georgian Court added a two goals in the final four minutes to take a 6-4 lead at halftime.

Emily Lasko (Jackson, N.J.) scored on the extra-man opportunity early in the second half but Georgian Court surged ahead with 10 goals to take double-digit lead. Kassaleh netted a pair of late goals for the Cougars, while Murphy added one down the stretch.

Mia Monacelli (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) recorded 19 saves in the game.
The Cougars has qualified for the CACC postseason tournament that begins on Wednesday, May 5. The bracket for the CACC Championship will be announced this weekend.
