CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer graduate Teaghan Darling (Forked River, N.J.) tallied three points to help the Cougars battled Wilmington University to a 3-3 draw to secure a spot in the conference tournament.

The Cougars stand to 7-8-1 and 5-5-1 in the CACC while Wildcats move to 9-4-3 and 6-2-2 in conference play.

Wilmington struck first as they took a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute of play. Darling pulled the Cougars even in the 36th minute to tie the score at 1-1. The Wildcats pushed ahead with a goal just before halftime to take a 2-1 lead into the break.

The Cougars pulled even early in the second half as junior Sarah Costanza (Morris Plains, N.J.) found the back of the net in the 69th minute.

The Wildcats again took a one-goal lead with a tally in the 75th minute to push ahead 3-2. Caldwell answered the call in the 75th minute as Darling assisted on the tying goal off the foot of freshman Alexa Peto (Toms River, N.J.) to even the score at 3-3 and force overtime.

The teams battled through two scoreless overtime periods as Wilmington attempted the lone shot over the two extra periods.

Senior keeper Jamie-Lee Bamford (Braintree, United Kingdom) stopped nine shots in the draw.

Prior to the game, the Cougars honored their graduating senior in Bamford, Darling and Hannah Marino (Pennington, N.J.).
