PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Caldwell University men's soccer junior
Chris Ferri (Parsippany, N.J.) and senior
Kevin Avila (Newark, N.J.) scored as the Cougars powered past Thomas Jefferson University 2-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 4-9-0 and 2-7-0 in the CACC, while the Rams drop to 3-8-2 overall and 2-6-1 in conference play.
Ferri got the Cougars on the board with a goal in the 14th minute of play to put Caldwell in the lead.
The Cougars added to their lead late in the second half as Avila scored on an assist from junior
Andre Vieira (Union, N.J.).
Freshman keeper
Dylan Valencia (Elizabeth, N.J.) recorded five saves in posting his first shutout of the season.
The Cougars host Wilmington University for a CACC contest on Saturday, October 30 at 1:30 pm. The game will also feature senior day as the Cougars will recognize its graduating seniors prior to the game.
