NEW CASTLE, Del.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened their 2021-22 season with three wins on Day One of the Bud Whitman Memorial hosted by Chestnut Hill College.
 
The Cougars started the day with an 889-810 loss to Mount St. Mary's University. Caldwell won their next two matches with a 913-728 win over Felician University and defeated Kutztown University 950-873. The Cougars lost to Wilmington University 968-905 and closed out the day with 987-765 win over Chestnut Hill.
 
Junior Rhianna Smith (Mt Olive, N.J.) led the Cougars with a 20.14 baker average. Freshman Yoana Hyman-Cruz (Edison, N.J.) posted an 18.86 average in her first collegiate match. Senior Victoria Vucak (Garfield, N.J.) recorded a 17.95 average, while freshman Hayley Vesek (Dallas, Pa.) posted a 17.90 average.
