WATERBURY, Conn.- The Caldwell University men's basketball team fell in a road contest as they lost to Post University 81-66 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars fall to 12-9 and 8-5 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 16-6 and 10-3 in conference play.
Post jumped out to an early lead as they took a 30-8 lead. The Cougars rallied back as senior
Ned Ogoemesim (Westampton, N.J.) and freshman
Marcellus Ross (Sicklerville, N.J.) each drained a triple as the Cougars trimmed the score to 46-29 at halftime.

Eric Johnson-Alford (Clifton, N.J.) netted five points in the first seven minutes. Ogoemesim and senior
Vaughn Covington (Sicklerville, N.J.) added triples in the run, while senior
AJ Kittles (Glassboro, N.J.) connected on a trifecta to cut the score to 54-46 with 13:36 left in the game.
Post pushed their lead back to double digits but Caldwell made one final run. The Cougars used an 11-3 run to cut the score to four points. Covington netted seven points, while sophomore
Anthony Cooper (Ashburn, Va.) added a bucket at the 7:42 mark to trim the score to 61-57.
The Eagles answered with a 5-1 run and held off the Cougars down the stretch.
Covington led the way with 17 points and six boards. Johnson-Alford added 14 points, five rebounds and two blocks, while Kittles finished with 11 points, six boards and two steals.
The Cougars host Wilmington University for a CACC contest on Saturday, February 8 at 3:00 pm.
