TOWSON, Md.- Caldwell University women's bowling freshman
Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) led the Cougars on the opening day of the James Brown Invitational hosted by Morgan St. University.
Caldwell finished the opening day with a 3-2 record in five baker matches. The Cougars sit in fourth place with a total baker pin fall of 4,699.
The Cougars won their opening match against the host Morgan St. 940-867 and fell to University of Maryland Eastern Shore 1,028-890. Caldwell downed Howard University 906-889 and defeated Coppin St. University 1,033-845. The Cougars closed out the opening day with a 993-930 loss to Delaware St. University.
Rapach led the way with a 22.81 baker average, while senior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazleton, Pa.) posted a baker average of 19.60. Senior
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) finished with an average of 18.20, while sophomore
Deanne Murray (McMurray, Pa.) posted a baker average of 17.85. Senior
Madison Miller (West Deptford, N.J.) rounded out the top Caldwell performers with a baker average of 17.28
