CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's tennis team wrapped up conference play as they fell 4-3 to Jefferson in their final Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match of the season.
The Cougars fall to 1-9 overall and end conference play at 1-8, while the Rams improve to 8-6 overall and finish with a CACC record of 6-3.
Senior
Janis Jimenez (Shrub Oak, N.Y.) posted a 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) win at #1 singles, while sophomore
Kiana Wiggins (Washington, N.J.) fell at #2 singles 6-1, 6-0.
Sophomore
Lauryn Schwint (Sparta, N.J.) won at #3 singles 6-1, 6-3, while freshman
Kathryn Hurlbut (La Habra, Calif.) came up short at #4 singles 6-1, 6-0. Freshman
Hannah Kim (Ridgefield, N.J.) lost at #5 singles 6-1, 6-1.
In doubles play, Wiggins and Schwint lost at the #1 spot 6-1. Jimenez and sophomore
Anne Ilardi (Oak Ridge, N.J.) fell at #2 doubles 6-2.
The Cougars return to action in the spring 2020 semester.
