CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's basketball junior
Tina Lebron (Manalapan, N.J.) netted 20 points as the Cougars came up short to Georgian Court University 72-62 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.

The Cougars fall to 3-9 overall and 3-2 in the CACC, while the Lions improve to 3-9 and 3-1 in conference play.

Lebron tallied 14 points in the opening half to help Caldwell build at 33-20 lead late in the second quarter. The Lions closed the first half with 11 straight points to trim the score to 33-31 at halftime.

Caldwell opened the second half with an 18-7 run to push the lead to 51-38 with 3:15 left in the third quarter. Georgian Court cut the score to 51-47 to start the final quarter.

Georgian Court got off to a quick start in the final quarter as they took a four-point lead at the midway point. Â Senior
Andie Lennon (Secaucus, N.J.) scored in the paint at the 5:12 mark but the Lions held off Caldwell down the stretch.

Lebron shot 6-for-13 from downtown as she finished with 20 points. Lennon tallied 13 points, three boards and two steals. Graduate
Alessia Smaldone (Malnate, Italy) chipped in 12 points and four steals, while freshman
Paula Dits (Alicante, Spain) finished with nine points and eight boards.
