POMONA, N.Y.- The Caldwell University baseball team wrapped up their 2018 season with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader against Dominican College. The Chargers took the opener 9-1 and won the nightcap 5-1.
The Cougars fall to 7-39 overall and 7-25 in the CACC, while the Chargers improve to 18-29 and 16-14 in conference play.
In the opener, the Chargers built an early lead with six runs in the third inning. Caldwell added a run in the fourth as they loaded the bases with one out. Senior

Mason Marino (Brooklyn, N.Y.) singled with one out to load the bases. Senior
Justin Jeannette (East Hanover, N.J.) drew a walk to force in the lone Caldwell run.

Justin Picinic (River Vale, N.J.) tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing seven runs (three earned) on nine hits, while striking out one. Picinic ends his season with a 1-5 record. Senior
Kevin Goldman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) tossed 2/3 of an inning, allowing one run on two hits in his final collegiate appearance as a pitcher.
In the nightcap, Dominican scored five runs over the first six innings of play. Caldwell broke through in the seventh as junior
Anthony Parente (Jackson, N.J.) led off with a single. Senior
Rob DeSanti (Barnegat, N.J.) drew a walk, while Gregor singled to load the bases. Sophomore

The games ended the collegiate careers of ten of Caldwell's seniors. Picinic, Endersby and Cerf saw action on the mound in their final games of their career. Gregor, Jeannette,

William Levier (Monroe Township, N.J.) played in their final games for the Cougars.
