CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University baseball came up short in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference doubleheader to Nyack College. Nyack took the opener 4-0 and won the nightcap 5-1.

The Cougars fall to 2-20 overall and 2-10 in the CACC, while Warriors improve to 13-13-1 and 6-6 in conference play.

In the opener, Caldwell posted eight hits led by a 3-for-4 effort from senior
Paul Marinello (Freehold, N.J.). Senior
Michael Bernstein (Staten Island, N.Y) recorded a triple in the game, while senior
Kevin Goldman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) went 2-for-4.

Zach Endersby (Caldwell, N.J.) tossed 7+ innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, while striking out two to fall to 0-4.

Nyack tied the game at one with a run in the fourth inning. The Warriors took the lead with three runs in the sixth inning and added one in the seventh.

Robert Brust (Shirley, N.Y.) took the loss to fall to 0-3. He tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing four runs on six hits, while striking out two.
