Overview
The #4 Caldwell University women's lacrosse team will take on top seed and host Georgian Court University in the Semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship on Saturday, April 28 at noon. The CACC semifinals will be held at the GCU Track & Field Complex on the GCU campus. The Cougars enter the game with a 6-8 overall record and finished the regular season with a 5-4 mark in the CACC. The Lions come into Saturday contest with a 11-6 record and won the CACC regular season title with a 9-0 record in conference play.

Admission fee is $6 adults, $3 seniors, children and students with ID. Children under 3 will be admitted for free.
Last Meeting
Georgian Court won the regular season meeting between the two teams with an 18-5 win on April 4. Sophomore
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) led the way with three goals and four draw controls. Freshman
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) totaled three assists and three draw controls. For Georgian Court, Xena Valenzuela posted seven goals and two assists. Samantha Fernandez added five goals for the Lions.
How They Got Here
The Cougars won their first-ever postseason game as they defeated Wilmington University 18-12 in the CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday. Kassaleh posted a single-game record with 10 goals and 11 points in the win. She added three caused turnovers and six draw controls. Senior
Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, N.Y.) totaled one goal and three assists, while Murphy pitched in two goals, two assists, five draw controls and three caused turnovers.
Scouting the Cougars (6-8, 5-4 CACC)
Kassaleh leads the Cougars this season with 74 points on 60 goals and 14 assists. She has posted a team-best 78 draw controls and 12 free-position goals. Murphy is second on the team with 55 points on 33 goals and 22 assists. She has chipped in 56 draw controls and nine free-position goals. Schenck has recorded 24 goals and 22 assists for the Cougars this season. Junior
Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) leads the team with 41 caused turnovers and 46 ground balls and ranks third on the team with 41 draw controls. Lucia has tallied 28 points and seven assists along with seven free-position goals.
Scouting the Lions (11-6, 9-0 CACC)
The Lions are led by Fernandez who has netted a team-best 55 goals along with 13 assists. Nicole Barbella leads the Lions with 53 assists, while Arianna Quinlan has posted 45 goals and 19 assists this season. Valenzuela is contributing 41 goals and 19 assists, while leading the team with 66 draw controls and 74 groundballs.
Next Up
The winner of this quarterfinal match up will advance to the CACC Championship match and will face the winner of the Jefferson-Chestnut Hill semifinal contest. The championship game will be held on Sunday, April 29 at 3 pm on the Georgian Court campus
