WEST CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's lacrosse senior
Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, N.Y.) scored her 100th career goal as the Cougars closed out the regular season with a 23-9 victory over Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest. The Cougars have qualified for the CACC Championship for a third straight season and will compete in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The Cougars improve to 5-8 overall and 5-4 in the CACC, while the Warriors end their season at 3-13 and 2-7 in conference play.
Caldwell built an 11-3 lead midway through the opening half. Sophomore
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) netted three goals, while Schenck and junior
Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) each scored twice.
Schenck recorded her historic goal at the 18:32 mark of the first half, becoming the second player in school history with 100 goals. She added a goal and two assists down the stretch as the Cougars took a 16-6 lead into halftime.
Caldwell maintained their lead into the second half as Lucia netted three goals, while Kassaleh scored twice for Caldwell.
Kassaleh led the way with six goals, three assists, 10 draw controls and five ground balls. Schenck chipped in four goals and three assists, while Lucia tallied six goals, one assist and five caused turnovers. Freshman
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) totaled two goals, four assists, six draw controls and three ground balls. Junior
Jessica Collum (Wayne, N.J.) posted three goals and one assist.

Nancy Benedetto (Jupiter, Fla.) recorded six saves in the game.
Prior to the game, the Cougars recognized its three graduating seniors in Schenck,
Miranda Harrington (Neptune, N.J.) and
Rebecca Ryan (Berkeley Heights, N.J.) for their outstanding contributions to the program.
The Cougars will compete in the CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 24.
