ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y.- Caldwell University women's lacrosse sophomore
Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) scored three goals in the Cougars 20-6 loss to Molloy College.
The Cougars fall to 0-2 on the season, while the Lions improve to 5-3.
Molloy took the early lead as they scored the first three goals of the game. Kassaleh put the Cougars on the board with a goal at the 28:35 mark of the first half. Junior
Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) added her second goal of the season with 19:09 left in the half to cut the score to 4-2.
Molloy added to their lead as they led 14-2 late in the opening half. Kassaleh netted goal just before halftime and scored her third on the game early in the second half.

Maryellen McCarthy (Levittown, N.Y.) added a goal midway through the second half. Freshman
Samantha Murphy (Pompton Plains, N.J.) netted her first collegiate goal with under a minute to play in the game.
Kassaleh added five draw controls in the game, while Lucia totaled five groundballs. Murphy posted three groundballs and one draw control.
Junior
Nancy Benedetto (Jupiter, Fla.) finished with nine saves in the loss.
The Cougars travel to Dominican College in their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference opener on Wednesday, March 21 at 4 pm at Torne Valley Sports Complex in Hillburn, New York.
