TOWSON, Md.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team posted five wins as they opened play at the James Brown Invitational hosted by Morgan St. University.
The Cougars opened the tournament with an 840-817 win over Belmont Abbey College and defeated Wilmington University 810-743. Caldwell continued their winning ways with an 873-661 win over Virginia St. University and posted a 938-914 win over Howard University. The Cougars ended the first day of the tournament with a 1,000-933 win over host Morgan St.

Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) led the Cougars on the opening day with a 20.16 baker average. Freshman
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) turned in a strong performance with an 18.40 average. Freshman
Gabriella Pangaro (Clifton, N.J.) posted a 17.82 average, while junior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) rounded out the top finishers with a 17.58 average.
The Cougars continue play at the James Brown Invitational on Saturday, February 17.
