The Cougars opened the contest with a 7-1 spurt and later had edges of 14-8 and 18-9 en route to the first set win. Bloomfield held leads of 14-11 in the second set and 10-5 and 13-8 in the third, but the Cougars rallied each time for the straight-set win, their sixth in the last seven matches.
Caldwell has earned the No. 2 seed in the CACC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal match on Tuesday at 6 p.m. vs. Jefferson.
