CALDWELL, N.J.- The Caldwell University men's soccer team battled to a 1-1 tie against Bloomsburg College on senior day.
The Cougars have clinched a spot in the postseason and will be on the road in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship. The final conference games will be played on Friday, which will determine the final standings and tournament matchups.
The Cougars move to 6-9-2 overall, while the Huskies stand at 7-9-1.
Caldwell got their lone in the fifth minute of the game. Freshman
Bryan Ohlott (Boonton, N.J.) netted his first goal of the season off an assist from sophomore
Sander Golmen (Lier, Belgium).
Bloomsburg scored their goal in the 34th minute on a penalty kick. The team finished even on shots 13-13 with both recording two shots in the second overtime but the game ended tied.
Freshman
Jose Salinas (Newark, N.J.) played the first half in net and recorded four saves. Junior
Anthony Tirri (Colonia, N.J.) played the second half and both overtime period as he finished with two saves.
Prior to the game, the Cougars honored its five seniors for their outstanding dedication to the program.

Joaquin Escudero (San Sebastian, Spain),
Kyle Hill (New Milford, N.J.) and
Tom Yorston (Northamptonshire, United Kingdom) were recognized in a pregame ceremony.
The Cougars will compete in the CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, October 30. Caldwell will be on the road with their opponent being determined after the conclusion of the conference schedule on Friday.
