CALDWELL, N.J- Caldwell University men's soccer sophomore
Sander Golmen (Lier, Belgium) netted a pair of goals including the game-winner in overtime as the Cougars outlasted Dominican College 2-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest.
The Cougars improve to 6-8-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the CACC, while the Chargers fall to 5-10-0 and 3-7-0 in conference play.
Caldwell got on the board midway through the opening half as Golmen scored off a cross into the box from junior
Filip Axelsson (Kristinehamn, Sweden) in the 24
th minute of play.
Dominican answered late in the second half to tie the game at 1-1 and force an extra period.
Caldwell netted the game-winner in the second minute of the first overtime as freshman
Martin Muller (Bergen, Norway) crossed the ball into the box to Golmen for goal.
Sophomore
Nils Svere (Lier, Norway) tallied five saves in the win.
The Cougars travel to Holy Family University on Saturday, October 20 for a CACC game at 7 pm. The game will be played at Bryn Athyn College.
