ALTOONA, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team kicked off the second half of the season with four wins on day one of the Red Flash Invitational hosted by Saint Francis University. The Cougars are ranked in third place after the first day of play.
Caldwell won their first match of the day with an 882-860 win over Mount Aloysius College. The Cougars earned a 1036-785 win over Wilmington University and edged Morgan St. University 916-914. Caldwell wrapped up the first day with an 850-759 win over Saint Vincent College.
Senior
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) led the way with a 20.35 baker average. Freshman
Madison Perry (Hawthorne, N.J.) was second for the Cougars with a 20.02 average, while junior
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) posted an 18.04 average.
Freshman
Deanne Murray (McMurray, Pa.) posted a baker average of 17.87, while junior
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) rounded out the top Cougar performers with a 17.26 average.
The Cougars continue play at the Red Flash Invitational on Saturday, January 27.
