CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's volleyball senior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) tallied a season-high 16 kills to help lead the Cougars to a 3-0 win over Wilmington University in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.
The Cougars improve to 9-2 overall and 4-0 in the CACC, while the Wildcats fall to 5-9 and 1-3 in conference play.
Caldwell took the match in three sets as they won 25-12, 25-23 and 25-15.
Auyong led the way with a season-high 19 kills along with four digs. Senior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) chipped in eight kills, five total blocks (one solo) and three digs. Senior
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) finished 18 assists, while junior
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) contributed 21 assists.
Sophomore
Avery Stanechewski (Tampa, Fla.) posted seven kills and three blocks, while sophomore
Kathleen Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) totaled seven kills, two aces and three blocks. Freshman
Chloe Kissner (Seabrook, Texas) added five kills, while senior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) tallied 24 digs.
Caldwell posted a team hitting percentage of .302, led by Compagno's .545.
The Cougars travel to Molloy College on Monday, September 25 for a non-conference match at 6 pm.
