Women’s Lacrosse Preview: #5 Cougars Travel to #4 Chestnut Hill in CACC Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday at 2:30 pm

Overview
The #5 Caldwell University women's lacrosse team travels to #4 Chestnut Hill College in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals on Tuesday, April 25 at 2:30 pm. Caldwell enters the game with a record of 7-8 and finished the season at 5-4 in the CACC. Chestnut Hill enters into the game with a 6-10 overall record and ended the season with a 6-3 conference mark.

Ticket Information
Admission fee is $6 adults, $3 students with ID, seniors and children. Children under 3 will be admitted for free.
 
Last Meeting
Chestnut Hill won the regular season match-up as they defeated Caldwell 17-7 on April 6. Junior Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, N.Y.) tallied three goals for the Cougars, while freshman Arden Kassaleh (Pompton Plains, N.J.) added two goals and three draw controls. For the Griffins, Julia Galantich totaled eight points with six assists, while Lea Sanders chipped in four goals.  
 
Scouting the Cougars (7-8, 5-4 CACC)
The Cougars fell in their final game of the regular season to Philadelphia University 18-13. For the season, Kassaleh leads the Cougars in points (73), goals (64), game-winning goals (4), draw controls (49) and free-position goals (21). Schenck is second on the team with 54 points, 42 goals, 12 assists and tied for second with 32 groundballs. Schenck is third on the team with 32 draw controls. Sophomore Maryellen McCarthy (Levittown, N.Y.) leads Caldwell with 16 assists and is tied for third on the team with 31 points. Sophomore Rachel Lucia (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) leads the team with 63 groundballs and 35 caused turnovers. She is second on the team with 45 draw controls, while ranking third on the team with 27 goals and tied for third with 31 points. Senior Amanda Timmes (Pine Beach, N.J.) is second on the team with 21 caused turnovers and tied for second with 32 groundballs.
 
Scouting the Griffins (6-10, 6-3 CACC)
The Griffins defeated Nyack College 21-9 in their regular season finale on Saturday. Galantich leads the Griffins with 49 points on 24 goals and 25 assists this season. Julia Reinert is second on the team with 46 points and leads Chestnut Hill with 38 goals. Jacklyn O'Leary ranks third on the team with 45 points and is second in goals with 33.
Samantha Herron leads the Griffins with 38 assists this season.
 
Next Up
The winner of this quarterfinal match up advances to the CACC semifinal game on Saturday, April 29 where they will face the top seed Georgian Court University at noon. GCU is the host site for the CACC women's lacrosse final four this weekend.
