ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.- Caldwell University women's bowling junior 
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) led the Cougars on the opening day of the Northeast Conference Meet #2 hosted in Elmwood Park, New Jersey.
 
Roca led the way with a two-round traditional average of 216.0. She bowled a pair of 200 games with a 208 and 224 in traditional play. Sophomore 
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) posted a two-round traditional average of 177.5 with a high round of 188. Sophomore 
Alexis Policastro (Carteret, N.J.) turned in a solid opening day at the conference meet with a two-round traditional average of 167.5. Policastro bowled a high round of 187.
 
The Cougars opened the second conference meet of the season with a 1,009-867 baker format loss to Fairleigh Dickinson University. Caldwell came up short in their second baker match of the day with a 1,046-896 loss to LIU Brooklyn. The Cougars picked up their second conference win of the season as they defeated Duquesne University 869-817 in baker format.
 
Caldwell closed out the first day with a pair of traditional matches. Caldwell edged past St. Francis University (Pa.) 845-836. The Cougars wrapped up the opening day with a 900-864 loss to St. Francis College Brooklyn.
 
Caldwell moves their season record to 40-40 and end the first day of the conference meet with a 3-11 mark in NEC play.
 
The Cougars conclude play at the NEC Meet #2 on Sunday, February 26 in Elmwood Park, N.J. Caldwell wraps up conference play with four traditional matches against Sacred Heart University, Fairleigh Dickinson, LIU Brooklyn and Duquesne.
