PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The #6 seed Caldwell University women's soccer team fell to #3 seed Holy Family University 1-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals.
The Cougars end their season at 8-9-1, while the Tigers improve to 14-5-0 and advance to Friday's CACC Championship semifinals.
The teams battled through a scoreless first half as Caldwell held the edge in shots 5-4.
The score remained tied until the 75th minute of play. The Tigers took the lead with a goal with around 16 minutes left in the game.
Holy Family finished the game with a 10-7 advantage in shots, while the teams were tied for four corner kicks each. Sophomore
Meghan Grundhauser (Easton, Pa.) led the Cougars with four shots.
