RINDGE, N.H.- The Caldwell University women's soccer team kicked off their 2016 season with a 1-0 loss to Westminster College (Utah) on Day One of the Franklin Pierce University Classic.
The Griffins netted the lone goal of the game in the 16th minute as they took the lead. Westminster held the Cougars to five total shots and three on goal. Sophomore
Emily Valerian (Roseland, N.J.) totaled all three shots on goals for Caldwell.
In net, senior goalie
Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, N.J.) played all 90 minutes and recorded eight saves.
The Cougars wrap up play at the Franklin Pierce Classic as they take the host Ravens on Sunday, September 4 at 3 pm.
