READING, Pa.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team improved their weekend record to 8-3 as they went 4-2 on Saturday afternoon in baker match play at the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University.
The Cougars went 4-2 in six baker matches to improve their tournament record to 8-3 at the Golden Bear Classic.
Caldwell won their first four matches as they defeated New Jersey City University 931-715 and Mt. Aloysius College 930-876. The Cougars added two more wins in round 3 with a 1,008-989 win against St. Francis College-Brooklyn and in round four with an 844-800 victory against St. Peter's University.
The Cougars finished the final two rounds with losses as they fell 902-876 to Felician University and 946-885 to Sacred Heart University.
Caldwell heads into bracket play on Sunday tied for third place with an 8-3 record through two days of the tournament. The Cougars improve their match play record to 28-26 this season.
The Cougars conclude their play at the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Kutztown University on Sunday, February 14.
