CALDWELL, N.J.- Caldwell University women's soccer sophomore
Jessica LaConde (Huntington Beach, Calif.) netted a pair of goals to lead the Cougars to a 3-1 victory against Nyack College in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Championship Quarterfinals. The victory sends the Cougars to the CACC Championship semifinals on Friday, November 4.
The Cougars improve to 11-7-1 overall, while the Warriors finish their season at 6-12-0.
LaConde got the Cougars on the board early as she chipped in the loose ball following a save to give Caldwell the early lead in the 16
th minute. Caldwell added to their lead later in the half as sophomore
Emily Valerian (Roseland, N.J.) had a throw-in that sophomore
Gianna Klucker (Tamins, Switzerland) flicked past the goal keeper for a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
Nyack got on the board early in the second half as they cut the score to 2-1 in the 52
nd minute. The Cougars tacked on an insurance goal in the 63
rd minute as LaConde got her second of the game off an assist from Klucker.

Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, N.J.) posted four saves to earn her ninth win of the season.
The Cougars advance to the CACC Championship Final Four for the third time in the last four seasons. The #2 seed Caldwell will face the #6 seed Holy Family University on Friday, November 4 at 1:30 pm on the campus of Georgian Court University.
