ELMWOOD PARK, N.J.- The Caldwell University women's bowling team opened the Fairleigh Dickinson University Jamboree with a win against nationally ranked Sacred Heart University. The Cougars finished day two with two wins as they move their season record to 14-11 in 2016-17.
Caldwell opened the day with an 837-810 traditional match win against Sacred Heart. The Cougars fell in their next three matches as they lost to Fairleigh Dickinson 926-847. Caldwell fell to University of Alabama at Birmingham 890-787 and Chestnut Hill College 850-766. The Cougars won their final match of the day as they defeated Morgan St. University 880-831.
Sophomore
Alexis Policastro (Carteret, N.J.) was the top performer on day two as she posted a five round average of 174 with a high round of 188. Sophomore
Jamie Lee Kulaga (West Hazelton, Pa.) posted a four-round average of 173 with a high round of 205.
Junior
Daniele Roca (Garden City Park, N.Y.) bowled an average of 172 and a high score of 186 in five rounds, while sophomore
Amanda Scharf (North Brunswick, N.J.) bowled a five round average of 169 with a high round of 170.
The Cougars continue play on Sunday, October 30 as they compete on the final day of the FDU Jamboree.
