WATERBURY, Conn.- Caldwell University volleyball junior
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) tallied 23 kills but the Cougars fell to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference North Division Leader Post University 3-1.
Caldwell falls to 12-9 overall and 5-4 in the CACC, while the Eagles improve to 16-3 and 8-1 in conference play.
Post took the opening set 25-21 but Caldwell evened the match, winning 27-25 in set two. The Eagles closed out the match as they won 25-18 in set three and 25-22 in set four.
Janssen tallied 23 kills along with 10 digs, while junior
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, Hawaii) totaled 15 kills, two aces, four blocks and six digs. Sophomore
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, Colo.) led the Cougars with 21 assists, while junior
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, Texas) chipped in 18 assists, five aces and eight digs.
Freshman
Kathleen Compagno (Orland Park, Ill.) posted three kills and five blocks, while junior
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, Ill.) tallied a match-high 32 digs.Â
The Cougars host Felician University College in a CACC match on Friday, October 14 at 6 pm at the Newman Center.    Â
