PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell University men's basketball team lost to University of the Sciences, 59-42 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game on Wednesday night.
With the loss, the Cougars fall to 4-10 overall and 2-5 in the conference, while the Devils improved to 8-5 and 5-1 in the CACC.

The Devils jumped out to a 15-1 lead midway through the first half of play. Caldwell battled back, closing to within two points at 20-18 at halftime.
Caldwell made a push taking a 31-28 lead early in the second half but were unable to sustain their advantage. The Devils scored the next 11 points to go back in from 39-31 with 11:17 left in the game. USciences added to their lead down the stretch over the final 10 minutes of play.
For the Cougars, Billy McDonald paced Caldwell with nine points, and eight rebounds, while Ahmad Harrison chipped in seven points, four rebounds and four steals. Thomas Elliott-Smith pitched in with four points eight boards while Dawan Lighty finished with five points.
The Cougars are back at the Newman Center for thieir first home game of the new year as they host Wilmington University on Saturday, January 9 in a CACC clash at 3 pm.
