CALDWELL, N.J.- Freshman
Gianna Klucker (Tamins, Switzerland) netted her first two collegiate goals to help lead the Caldwell University women's soccer team to a 4-1 win against the Goldey-Beacom College Lighting in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference play.

The Cougars improve to 2-5-0 overall and remain unbeaten in CACC play with a 2-0-0 mark. The Lightning drop to 1-3-0 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Klucker got the Cougars going midway through the opening half as she scored in the 22nd minute off a cross from junior
Delaney Boyer (Freehold, NJ). Caldwell added two more goals before halftime as freshman
Amanda Wroblewski (North Babylon, NY) scored off a free kick in the 35th minute of play. Freshman
Emily Valerian (Roseland, NJ) capped the first half scoring as she found the back of the net off a loose ball following a corner kick for her second of the season in the 38th minute.

The Lightning got a goal back early in the second half in the 53
rd minute to cut the Cougar lead to 3-1. The score stayed at a two-goal advantage for Caldwell until the 87
th minute when Klucker netted her second of the day off a pass from sophomore
Mia Haugen (Saupstad, Norway) to put the game out of reach.

Mary Kanzler (East Northport, NY) turned in a solid effort, totaling four saves in the contest.

The Cougars return to the field on Wednesday, September 23 as they host the Post University Eagles in a CACC match-up at 4 pm.
