Christian Castro (Clifton, N.J.) netted his second goal of the season as the men's soccer team fell to the Mercy College Mavericks 4-1 in non-conference play.
The Cougars fall to 0-4-0 on the season, while the Mavericks improve to 2-2-0 overall.
Mercy struck first in the ninth minute of play to take a 1-0 lead. The Mavericks maintained their lead until the 39th minute when Caldwell pulled even. Castro netted his second goal of the season in the 34th minute off a direct kick to even the game at halftime.
The Mavericks tallied three goals in the second half with two coming in the first 10 minutes. Caldwell finished with 16 total shots in the game.

Michael Hartmann (Medford, N.J.) posted eight saves in 90 minutes of play.
The Cougars open up CACC play as they travel to Nyack College on Wednesday, September 16 at 4 pm.
