DOBBS FERRY, N.Y. – The Caldwell University women's lacrosse team dropped a non-conference game at Mercy College, 16-6 Monday afternoon at Mercy Field. The Cougars are now 2-2 on the season, while the Mavericks improve to 4-2.
Mercy turned in a dominant performance in the first half, scoring 10 straight goals. Sophomore midfielder
Courtney Donlon (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) scored for Caldwell just five seconds before halftime to make the score 10-1 at the break. In the second half, the Cougars scored five of the first eight goals over the first 10 minutes, including three goals from freshman midfielder
Emily Fey (Center Moriches, NY/Center Moriches). Sophomore midfielder
Christina Gonzalez (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly) and freshman attack
Pamela Schenck (East Moriches, NY/Center Moriches) also scored for Caldwell. Mercy tallied the final three goals of the game for a 16-6 win.

Melissa Garris (Matawan, NJ/Old Bridge) made a season-best 10 saves in goal for Caldwell. Jillian Rocco and Cara Moran split goalkeeping duties for the Mavericks, making three saves apiece.
The Cougars host Dominican College on Wednesday, Mar. 25 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference contest. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. at Centennial Field.
