WATERBURY, Conn. – The Caldwell University men's basketball team lost a road game to Post University, 82-61 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Tuesday evening in the Drubner Center. The Cougars are now 11-12 overall and 7-8 in the conference, while the Eagles improve to 10-12, 9-7 CACC.
Post took control of the game early with a 16-5 run over the first six minutes of the game. The lead grew to as many as 19 points before the Eagles took a 49-33 advantage at the half. Caldwell shot 53.0 percent from the field in the first half despite missing all seven of its attempts from three-point range. Senior guard
Kevin Walker (Bayonne, NJ/St. Peter's Prep) scored 10 points for the Cougars, while Nardie Bogues hit all four of his threes en route to 16 points for Post.
Things didn't get much better for Caldwell in the second half, as the Cougars never came closer than 16 points after halftime. Caldwell made 2-of-16 from beyond the arc for the game compared to 10-of-22 for Post, with Bogues draining 8-of-9 treys to finish with a game-high 30 points. The Eagles recorded 14 steals and turned 18 Cougar turnovers into 26 points.

Billy McDonald (North Haven, CT/North Haven) led Caldwell with 14 points, with Walker adding 12 points and freshman guard
Tyler Drews (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) scoring a career-high 10 points. Senior forward
Michael Balkovic (Neptune, NJ/St. John Vianney) tallied a game-best 12 rebounds to go with nine points.
The Cougars take on Goldey-Beacom College in another CACC road game on Saturday, Feb. 14, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
