BRONX, N.Y.- The Caldwell University women's basketball battled Division I Fordham University in an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon. The Cougars scored the first points of the game but lost 88-59.
Sophomore
Kristen Drogsler (Middle Village, NY) scored the first points of the contest but Fordham answered with 11 points to take a nine-point lead late in the first quarter. Caldwell trailed by six early in the second quarter but the Rams pushed ahead to a double digit lead at halftime.
For the Cougars, sophomore
Karlie O'Driscoll (Sharon, MA) led the way with 17 points and four rebounds, while senior
Nicole Angelo (Mt. Laurel, NJ) chipped in 15 points and three steals. Drogsler finished with 14 points, three rebounds and two steals.
Caldwell officially opens their 2015-16 season next weekend at the Northeast-10/CACC Challenge hosted by LeMoyne College. The Cougars take on The College of Saint Rose on Saturday, November 14 at 4 pm and play host LeMoyne on Sunday, November 15 at 3 pm.
