WILMINGTON, Del.- Sophomores
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) and
Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI) both netted 20+ kills but the #3S Caldwell University volleyball team came up short in a five set loss to #2N Wilmington University in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament Quarterfinals.

The Cougars finish the 2015 season at 21-12 overall, while the Wildcats improve to 23-9 and advance to the CACC Tournament semifinals on Friday.

Wilmington took the opening set 25-15 but Caldwell rallied to take the next two sets 25-11 and held off a late Wilmington rally to set three 25-23. The fourth set went back and forth with Caldwell taking a 25-24 lead but the Wildcats netted the final three points to take the set 27-25 and force a deciding set. In the deciding set, the team traded leads early but Wilmington pushed ahead 10-5 and took the match with a 15-11 win.

Auyong led the Cougars with 22 kills along with 14 digs, while Janssen recorded 21 kills and three total blocks. Freshman
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO) recorded 54 assists and 19 digs, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) posted a 30 digs. Freshman
Melanie Krpec (Katy, TX) added 23 digs for the Cougars. Â

Senior
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) ended her career with 10 kills and 17 digs in the loss. She finished her career with 777 kills, 1,017 digs, 75 total blocks and 49 services aces. Senior
Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH) posted six kills and three total blocks (one solo) in her final collegiate contest. She finishes her Caldwell career with 402 kills, 217 total blocks, 165 digs and 50 aces.
