CALDWELL, N.J.- Senior
Ashley King (Little Egg Harbor, NJ) scored the eventual go-ahead goal late in the first half to help lead the Caldwell University women's soccer team to a 2-1 victory against the Holy Family University Tigers in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action.
The Cougars jump into a three-way tie for third place in the CACC with Holy Family and Post as they improve to 9-6-1 and 8-1-1 in CACC play. The Tigers drop to 10-5-1, 8-2-1 in conference play.
Freshman
Emily Valerian (Roseland, NJ) got the Cougars on the board as she played a loose ball and found the back of the net to put Caldwell up 1-0 in the 26th minute.
Caldwell added a goal in the 31st minute as senior
Kelly Folk (Jackson, NJ) feed in the corner kick and King was able to head the ball into the net for her first goal of the season and a 2-0 Cougar lead.
The Tigers sliced the score down to a goal as they were able to find the back of the net in the 58th minute. The teams combined for three shots in the final 22 minutes but the Cougars held on for a crucial conference win.

Mary Kanzler (East Northport, NY) played all 90 minutes in net to record her ninth win of the season.
