NYACK, N.Y.- The Caldwell Women's Volleyball team defeated the Nyack College Warriors 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match. The Cougars fall to 15-8 overall and 7-3 in CACC play, while the Warriors drop to 1-15 overall and 0-8 in conference play.
The Warriors clipped the Cougars in the first set 25-23, but Caldwell rallied to take the next three sets, 25-18, 25-18 and 25-9.
Sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) led the Cougars with 10 kills and three blocks, while freshman
Kristin Murrell (Toledo, OH) chipped in 10 kills. Senior
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) totaled nine kills, two blocks and 14 digs, while senior
Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH) added seven kills and three blocks. Sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) netted 19 assists and seven digs, while freshman
Jordan Hoffman (Colorado Springs, CO) finished with 14 assists and three aces. Sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) led the team with 20 digs.
The Cougars host the University of the Sciences on Saturday, October 17 at 2 pm at the Newman Center.
