PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Caldwell Women's Volleyball team lost to the Holy Family University Tigers 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match. The Cougars fall to 13-8 overall and 5-3 in CACC play, while the Tigers improve to 4-15 and 3-5 in conference play.
The Tigers took the first two sets 25-22 and 30-28 but the Cougars battled back to take the third set 25-19. Holy Family took the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth set.
Sophomore
Katrina Janssen (Seville, Australia) led the Cougars with 18 kills and three blocks, while
Kelsey Blankerts (Sylvania, OH) added 10 kills and three blocks. Sophomore
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX) netted 30 assists and 13 digs. Senior
Rachael DiLeonardo (Milton, GA) totaled 14 digs, while sophomore
Jessica Mitchell (Plainfield, IL) recorded 12 digs.
The Cougars host Felician College on Tuesday, October 13 at 7 pm in a CACC match.
