Caldwell Ties Molloy in Women’s Soccer

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Caldwell University women's soccer team played to a 0-0 draw with Molloy College in a non-conference game Wednesday afternoon at the Dean Skelos Complex. The result leaves the Cougars with a 1-3-1 record on the season, while the Lions are now 0-3-1.

The game was scoreless after 90 minutes of regulation and two 10-minute overtime periods. Molloy held a 17-8 advantage in shots, while the Cougars took six corner kicks compared to one for the Lions.

Senior goalkeeper Robin Franchi (Sewell, NJ/Deptford) played all 110 minutes for Caldwell, making eight saves to record her ninth career shutout. Paige Salmon and Nicole DellaPorta split goalkeeping duties for Molloy, with DellaPorta playing the final 65 minutes and making four saves.

Caldwell returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 20 with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match against Dominican College at Caldwell Field. The game, which starts at 12:00 p.m., is a part of Caldwell University's homecoming celebration.
