WATURBURY, Conn. – The Caldwell University women's soccer team fell to Post University, 5-0 in the Cougars' first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game of the season Wednesday afternoon at LaMoy Field. Caldwell is 0-3 overall and 0-1 in league play, while the Eagles improve to 2-1, 1-0 CACC.

Post scored four times in the first half, starting with Katharina Mertz's goal in the second minute and ending with a goal by Lexxi Carroll with three seconds left in the half. Renel Dennis found the net in the 11th and 22nd minutes, while Brina Yanez scored in the 86th minute.

Senior goalkeeper Robin Franchi (Sewell, NJ/Deptford) made two saves in the first half, and sophomore Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) registered six saves in the second half. Laura Morgan and Brittany Carroll had two saves apiece in goal for Post.

The Cougars return to action on Saturday, Sept. 13 with a CACC game at Goldey-Beacom College. Game time is at 1:00 p.m. in Wilmington, Del.
