Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Caldwell College women's lacrosse team fell to Holy Family University, 20-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game Sunday afternoon at Tiger Field. The loss drops the Cougars to 0-6 overall and in conference play, while the Tigers improve to 3-7, 3-3 CACC.
After Holy Family scored the first goal of the game less than three minutes after the opening whistle, freshman
midfielder Christina Gonzalez (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly) found the net off an assist from freshman attack
Amy Hudak (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) to tie the score at 1-1. The Tigers took control from there, scoring seven straight goals before freshman midfielder
Kirsten Whitt (Lawrenceville, GA/Mountain View) tallied her team-leading 11th goal of the season with 7:33 left in the half. Holy Family did not allow a goal the rest of the way, ending a three-game losing streak.
Whitt also had a team-best five draw controls, while freshman defender
Miranda Harrington (Neptune, NJ/St. Rose) notched three ground balls. Freshman goalie
Adria Ostafi (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) recorded 10 saves in goal for Caldwell.
