Box Score VERONA, N.J. – The Caldwell College women's lacrosse team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to Nyack College, 17-12 Monday afternoon at Centennial Field. The defeat came in the final home game of the inaugural season for the Cougars, who are now 0-10. The Warriors improve to 2-12, 1-9 CACC.
Caldwell opened the scoring with a goal by freshman
Kyleigh Sivillo (Naples, FL/Palmetto Ridge) off an assist from freshman
Kaitlyn Coghlan (Staten Island, NY/St. John Villa Acad.). Nyack scored the next four goals before Cougars' freshman
Christina Gonzalez (Fairfax, VA/Chantilly) found the net with eight minutes left in the first half. The Warriors beat the buzzer with three seconds on the clock to make the halftime score 5-2.

Kirsten Whitt (Lawrenceville, GA/Mountain View) tallied the first goal of the second half on a free position shot to cut the deficit to two. But Nyack scored five straight goals, including four from Lauren Lebo, to take a 10-3 advantage. Freshman
Victoria Grzelak (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) broke the streak with a goal that started a four-goal string for Caldwell. Whitt scored after Grzelak, and Gonzalez tallied two consecutive goals to make the score 10-7 with 18:30 to play. Lebo scored three of the next four goals, sandwiched around a goal by senior
Sarah Royse (Danvers, MA/Northern Valley), who was playing in her final home game. The Cougars were able to come within four goals once more following a goal by freshman
Amy Hudak (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) in the final minute of play, but the Warriors prevailed for their first CACC win.
Whitt and Gonzalez each finished with four goals, while Sivillo and Coghlan recorded assists. Whitt also had seven ground balls, while Royse notched three draw controls. Lebo led all players with 12 goals and 10 draw controls.
