Box Score NEWARK, Del. – The Caldwell College women's lacrosse team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference game to Wilmington University, 18-0 Saturday afternoon at the WU Athletics Complex. The Cougars fall to 0-4 on the season with the loss, while the Wildcats improve to 4-4, 4-1 CACC.
Wilmington scored five goals over the first 10 minutes of the game en route to a 10-0 halftime lead. Caldwell never got on track offensively, taking four shots for the game. Wilmington goalie Corinne Dries recorded three saves in the shutout, while freshman
Adria Ostafi (Holmdel, NJ/Holmdel) tallied six saves in goal for the Cougars. Madeline Hewitt and Rebekah McCurry each scored three times for the Wildcats.
Next up for Caldwell is a CACC game against Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday, Apr. 2, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Centennial Field in Verona, N.J.
