PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – In a rematch of last year's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament final, the Caldwell College women's basketball team lost at Holy Family University, 65-55 Saturday afternoon in the Campus Center. The Cougars dropped their third straight game to fall to 11-10 overall and 9-5 in league play. The Tigers, who defeated Caldwell in the 2013 CACC championship, are now 13-8, 11-3 CACC.
Trailing for most of the first half, the Cougars pulled to within two, 26-24 with two minutes left in the half. Holy Family scored the final five points of the period, including a three from Maggie Serratelli, to take a 31-24 edge at the break. Senior forward

Nicole Angelo (Mount Laurel, NJ/Camden Catholic) scored eight points apiece for Caldwell in the half.
The Tigers maintained the upper hand into the second half, leading by as many as 13 points. With the score 53-41 Holy Family at the 5:48 mark, the Cougars came within five points with a 7-0 run, sparked by a lay-up and three-pointer from freshman guard
Antoinette Pilla (Scarsdale, NY/Ardsley). But the Tigers made all eight of their free throws in the final minute of play to wrap up the victory. Caldwell held Holy Family to 32.4 percent shooting from the field for the game, but the Tigers hit 16-of-19 from the line compared to 12-of-19 for the Cougars, and made five threes, two more than Caldwell.
Angelo scored 14 points and Anderson had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Cougars. Pilla finished with 11 points and five rebounds, while freshman forward
Alyssa James (Rosedale, NY/St. Mary's) tallied seven points, 10 boards and two blocks. Erin Fenningham paced Holy Family with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Caldwell hosts Post University in a key CACC match-up on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
