BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – The Caldwell University volleyball team earned a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference victory on the road, beating Bloomfield College, 25-9, 25-16, 25-18 Wednesday night in the Bloomfield Gymnasium. The win clinches at least a share of the CACC North Division title for the Cougars, who are 20-9 overall and 14-4 in league play. The Bears drop to 15-13, 11-7 CACC.

Caldwell controlled the match from start to finish, hitting .371 for the match while holding Bloomfield to a .021 hitting percentage. Freshman middle blocker Narae Wadsworth (Reno, NV/Wooster) led all players with 11 kills while hitting .667, with sophomore outside hitter Rachael DiLeonardo (West Chester, OH/Mount Notre Dame) tallying 10 kills and a .471 hitting percentage. Senior setter Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica) contributed five kills without an error and had 12 assists and seven kills. Freshman setter Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX/Johnson) delivered 20 assists and seven digs, with senior libero Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) leading the defense with 14 digs. Deandra Black paced the Bears with six kills and four total blocks.

Caldwell has won the CACC North Division in six of the past seven years while winning at least 20 matches in five of the past six seasons.

The Cougars close out the regular season with a CACC match at USciences on Saturday, Nov. 8. The match begins at 12:00 p.m. in Philadelphia, Pa.
