NEWARK, Del. – The Caldwell University volleyball team fell to Wilmington University, 25-12, 25-22, 25-18 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match on the road Saturday afternoon at the WU Athletics Center. With the loss the Cougars drop to 9-7 overall and 4-2 in the conference, while the Wildcats improve to 8-11, 5-2 CACC.

Taryn Auyong (Honolulu, HI/Kamehameha) had a team-best eight kills to go with eight digs for Caldwell, and senior right side
Erica Harrell (Richardson, TX/Plano East) added six kills and eight digs. Senior setter
Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica) and freshman setter
Gabrielle Bennett (San Antonio, TX/Johnson) each contributed 11 assists, with Bennett recorded eight digs. Senior libero
Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) registered 17 digs. Kaitlin DiGiacinto led Wilmington with 11 kills and 10 digs.
The Cougars host Dominican College in a CACC match on Wednesday, Oct. 8, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the George R. Newman Center.
