Box Score RINDGE, N.H. – The Caldwell College women's soccer team closed out the Franklin Pierce University Tournament with a 4-0 loss to Southern New Hampshire Sunday afternoon at Sodexo Field. The result evens the Cougars' record at 1-1, while the Penmen improve to 2-0.
The game remained scoreless until the 42nd minute, when Alyssa Balboni found the net for a 1-0 SNHU lead. Thirty-three seconds before halftime, Trisha Luis made it 2-0 when she knocked in a rebound off a shot by Alexa Poulin. The Penmen scored second-half goals in the 69th and 84th minute while preserving the shutout.

Kylie Whalen (Hazlet, NJ/Raritan) made two saves in her first collegiate start. Samantha Whittier recorded three saves in the shutout for SNHU.
The Cougars host 24th-ranked LIU Post on Thursday, Sept. 12 in the first home game of the season. The game starts at 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
