CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College women's soccer team defeated Concordia College, 6-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match-up Wednesday afternoon at Caldwell Field. The Cougars (4-2-1) remain unbeaten in conference play with a 3-0-1 record, while the Clippers fall to 0-3 overall and in the CACC.
Caldwell got on the scoreboard in the 11th minute on a long free kick by junior midfielder
Emily Boehler (Shrewsbury, NJ/Red Bank Reg.) that eluded goalkeeper Jennifer Forlini and went into the upper corner of the goal. Sophomore midfielder
Remi Piccirillo (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) knocked in a pass from sophomore
Kelly Folk (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial) in the 39th minute. Folk then beat Forlini a minute before halftime to put the Cougars ahead, 3-0.
Less than five minutes after halftime, senior midfielder
Carissa Strye (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) bent her corner kick inside the far post and into the net for a 4-0 lead. Freshman
Caroline Slater (West Long Branch, NJ/Shore Reg.) scored an unassisted goal in the 54th minute, then freshman
Jessica Garretson (Atco, NJ/Hammonton) blasted a shot into the upper right corner of the goal in the 78th minute to close out the scoring.

Robin Franchi (Sewell, NJ/Deptford) was not required to make a save in recording the shutout, as the Cougars out-shot the Clippers, 30-0. Forlini made eight saves for Concordia.
