WATERBURY, Conn. – Senior midfielder
Julie Crankshaw (Lanoka Harbor, NJ/Lacey Twp.) scored twice as the Caldwell College women's soccer team beat Post University, 3-1 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match Wednesday afternoon at Lamoy Field. The Cougars (6-3-2) remain unbeaten in the conference with a 5-0-2 record, while the Eagles fall to 4-6, 2-4 CACC.
Post struck first in the 13th minute, as Tessa Dunster scored to put the Eagles ahead, 1-0. Caldwell trailed into the second half until Crankshaw knotted the score at 1-1 with a goal in the 52nd minute. Then in the 67th minute, Crankshaw headed in a corner kick from junior midfielder
Ashlee Paknis (Little Egg Harbor, NJ/Pinelands Reg.) for the go-ahead goal. Senior defender
Rebecca Stinger (Atco, NJ/Hammonton) added an insurance goal, scoring off a free kick in the 73rd minute for a 3-1 lead.
Crankshaw leads the Cougars in scoring with five goals and two assists for 12 points this season. She now has two game-winning goals on the year and 12 in her career.

Robin Franchi (Sewell, NJ/Deptford) tallied three saves for the Cougars, who held a 17-8 advantage in shots. Eryka Baez made five saves in goal for Post.
The Cougars host Molloy College on Saturday, Oct. 12 in a non-conference meeting. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
