CALDWELL, N.J. – The Caldwell College volleyball team won a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference match against Post University, 25-22, 25-15, 25-20 Wednesday night in the George R. Newman Center. The win gives the Cougars a 14-9 record on the season, including an 11-2 mark in league play, while the Eagles fall to 4-17, 4-8 CACC.

Taylor Kovach (Oregon, OH/Clay) put away five of the Cougars' 14 kills, while freshman setter
Rachel Carpenter (Newark, OH/Newark) had 12 assists in the set. In the second set, Caldwell held Post to a hitting percentage of -.115 and Kovach had three kills for a commanding 25-15 win. Junior outside hitter
Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica) led the way in the third set with four kills, and Carpenter delivered 13 assists to help clinch the win.
Nestoras finished with a match-high 10 kills while hitting .348, and Kovach had nine kills and a .375 hitting percentage. Carpenter dished out 32 assists in the three-set victory, while freshman
Carolyn Manley (Holland, OH/Springfield) paced the defense with 12 digs. Emily Wilman led Post with eight kills.
Caldwell hosts an important CACC match against Georgian Court University on Sunday, Oct. 27, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in the Newman Center.
